Botany Collection
Gegenwärtig umfasst die gesamte Botanische Sammlung ca. 2.800 Herbarblätter mit Algen, Meeres- und Küstenpflanzen. Das sind vor allem Rot-, Braun- und Grünalgen aus Nord- und Ostsee und anderen europäischen Meeren. Außerdem sind ca. 70 Flüssigkeitspräparate mit Algen, aber auch verschiedene Kalkalgen im Bestand. Eine Besonderheit stellt die ca. 100 Präparate umfassende Belegsammlung von marinen Pilzen aus der Darß-Zingster Boddenkette von Frau Dr. Ingeborg Schmidt aus dem Jahre 1972 dar.

The entire botanical collection currently comprises around 2,800 herbarium sheets with algae, marine and coastal plants. These are mainly red, brown and green algae from the North Sea, the Baltic Sea and other European seas. There are also around 70 liquid preparations with algae, but also various calcareous algae. A special feature is the collection of around 100 preparations of marine fungi from the Darß-Zingst Bodden chain by Dr. Ingeborg Schmidt from 1972.
