Hohltiere Sammlung
Coelenterates Collection
Den Grundstock der Hohltier-Sammlung bildeten Steinkorallen, die Museumsmitarbeiter während der beiden "Acropora"-Expeditionen 1976 und 1979 am Roten Meer zusammentrugen. Hinzu kommen systematische Aufsammlungen aus vielen Riffregionen der Welt. Zusammen mit Oktokorallen aus dem Indo-Pazifik und Vertretern aus der Nordsee bilden sie Schwerpunkte der Hohltiersammlung (gesamt rund 3.500 Einheiten).

The core of the coelenterate collection was formed by stony corals that museum staff collected during the two "Acropora" expeditions in the Red Sea in 1976 and 1979. In addition, there are systematic collections from many reef regions around the world. Together with octocorals from the Indo-Pacific and representatives from the North Sea, they form the focal points of the Coelenterate Collection (around 3,500 units in total).
